Watercolour Wonders
Shrug off the winter with a creative weekend of watercolour magic. Taking natures smaller wonders as our inspiration we will be exploring the beauty of wet into wet backgrounds to create atmosphere and interest with the introduction of small creatures - could be bumble bees, dragon flies, butterflies, beetles or a mouse or other small mammal or insect.
The combination of spontaneous wet watercolour washes, (perhaps with the addition of glycerine, salt, cling film, or cellophane for surface pattern) alongside some more careful painting with economy of brush strokes can be an enchanting mix.
This course is most suitable for those with some previous watercolour experience who would like to develop their skills and explore different techniques.

Sunday 23rd - Wednesday 26th June
Capturing Water with Watercolour

A wonderful creative opportunity to focus on the magic of capturing water with watercolours. Whether you are fascinated by fresh water ponds with lilies and fish and dragonflies or salt water rock pools with shells, pebbles and weed, or perhaps it is the surface of moving water in a running stream that inspires you. We will explore a range of techniques including the use of masking fluid, wax resist, fine sand paper, glycerine, salt and cling film.
This course is most suitable for those with some previous watercolour experience who would like to develop their skills and explore different techniques.
